I'm Richard Midgley, the owner and operator of UK Carpet Cleaning in San Diego, CA. Born and raised in Buxton, Derbyshire, England, I named my business after my roots. With over 37 years of experience, I hold the highest certification in the industry—Master Textile Cleaner—along with certifications in mold remediation, color repair, tile and grout cleaning, and flood restoration. I've been formally trained in the USA and have been certified for over 18 years. I started cleaning fabrics in 1978 and completed a residential carpet installation and repair apprenticeship in 1981. By 1986, I was managing large commercial installation teams on projects up to 90,000 square feet. Today, I personally handle all residential carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, stain removal, carpet repairs, and pet odor control. I'm a fully licensed, bonded, and insured California carpet installer (License # 532972) since 1988.
